Position requirements
Should be capable of providing guidance in the development of a suitable suspension steering and braking system for new product by evaluating the validation and testing outcome and suggesting design for optimum performance.
Good understanding of functional science of Chassis and subs systems for fatigue, NVH, handling and stiffness.
Qualification
BE / B.tech / MS / M.tech in mechanical or automotive engineering
12 to 15 years of experiences in automotive Chassis, suspension system, brakes and steering.
At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Experience in ADAMS car and view and driveline, UG NX/ Team Center, CATIA V5 modelling (Surface/Assembly).
Software knowledge: ADAMS, Motion-view, Carsim, Carmaker with CAD software.
In depth experience of suspension development and evaluation of passenger and commercial vehicles, of different suspension and selection of the components.
Good understanding of functional science of Chassis subs systems for fatigue, NVH, handling and stiffness.
Understand Wheel & Tire selection, vehicle development requirements.
In depth experience of product development process, supplier evaluation, tech review, DFMEA, DVP&R, control plan, PFMEA, PPAP. Root cause analysis (Proactive & reactive methods) for parts under development and field return/warranty.
Knowledge of DFSS methodology for design and reactive root cause analysis methods.
